End-to-End Technology

The entire lifecycle of a case is handled electronically via the system. Breaking through the silos of internal and external systems of the stakeholders, end-to-end technology facilitates accurate and instantaneous exchange of information. With that, Ecquaria E-Judiciary goes beyond case management and enables boundaryless access to case information and transmission of orders.

E-Case File

All case information is indexed and stored in the electronic case (e-case) file repository for various parties to access. The e-case file grants parties timely access to case information during the lifecycle of a case. This includes every application made by each party, hearing outcomes, documents submitted, court orders given and follow-up actions. With the e-case file, information is accessible anytime and anywhere.

E-Minute Sheet

The parties are able to submit their positions or applications via the e-case file before the hearings. The information will be pre-loaded into a court order with default values tailored to the respective parties’ position. This facilitates the making of orders by the judge and eliminates the need for unnecessary data entry.

E-Minute sheet is equipped with a selector that allows judges to select a court order whenever required. Instead of looking through the entire form or files, judges can easily call out the orders and laws with a click. It also enables the effective recording of proceedings as they unfold. This results in accurate recording of hearing proceedings and real-time generation of court orders.

Real-Time Synchronisation
and Collaboration

Real-Time synchronisation of documents during court hearings reduces time spent on document searching by parties. It ensures that the judge, court staff and all parties are referencing the same case materials without any manual intervention of the system. New materials can be uploaded by the parties and made available immediately.

Use of Mobile Devices

The use of iPads in courtrooms provides mobility and convenience for court staffs, especially court interpreters. It also provides flexibility to users like the State Coroner who will no longer be desk-bound to access the system. The State Coroner can issue instructions directly from the Mortuary. The use of mobile devices paves the way for future courts to leverage on modern technologies to conduct hearings and improve court processes.
